  • Madagascar Baobab for sale. 2 feet tall. Variety is called Adansonia Fony. I originally purchased two tiny Baobabs from a guy in Tucson 4 years ago and have planted one. This is the other one. They take the heat very well. In fact they grow most when its really really hot. They are moderatly frost tolerant and have survived some very cold winter nights at my house in Mesa AZ, without any protection and without any sign of freeze damage. They are very drought tolerant but should be watered weekly in mid summer when first establishing themselves. Do not water when dormant. Madagascar Baobabs appear to be an all around good fit for Phoenix and are without a doubt very unusual and dramatic plants.
