Pictured below is a large loquat tree grown by Berto Bertuccio at his house in Phoenix. This tree was grown from a seed and is planted in full sun, in the lawn. Berto never fertilizes the tree and waters it by soaking it with the hose for 24 hours, once a week. The result is a yearly crop of delicious loquats.
Berto was the owner of an award winning Italian restaurant, named La Fontanella, in Phoenix
for over 30 years. He retired now and the restaurant is closed. |
