Epic cultivation fail by laverne nursery. The fruit was much smaller than I expected and it wasn't the variety I wanted. It does still taste pretty good, anyone know a source for guava trees with accurate varieties?

The size has a lot to do with how big and healthy your tree is. I would expect small fruit on a brand new tree of that size. Yes, the variety does not look correct, but if it tastes good I'd keep it. Guavas are often propagated from seed and they are "often" true to type from seed, but not always.
